FAU Women's Tennis loses to Stetson

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic women's tennis playing their third match in three days lost at Stetson Sunday 4-0. The Owls played all three matches on the road and finished the weekend 1-2. FAU looked poised to carry over the momentum from their win Saturday against Georgia Southern, but could never get going against a Stetson team that is 4-1 on the season.
FAU senior Catalina Ene and FAU sophomore Lyndsey Boos started strong in the number two position defeating Isabella Fernandez and Eveline Lepinay 6-3, but FAU could not capitalize and dropped the doubles point. That was as close as the Owls would get as they surrendered three singles positions and the match.
FAU has an extended break before returning to the court Feb. 18 against FGCU in Ft. Myers.
