Women's Soccer Announces 2015 Spring Schedule

The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team announced its 2015 spring schedule which features four home and two road matches. The Owls host the University of Victoria, Eastern Florida State College, Miami and Palm Beach Atlantic. FAU will go on the road to take on Florida Gulf Coast and Barry as well.

"The team is looking forward to the Spring schedule and we will be tested in a number of different ways," FAU Head Coach Patrick Baker said. "Our 2015 matches almost match the same as last years - University of Victoria, Florida Gulf Coast, University of Miami, Barry University and Palm Beach Atlantic will be repeat opponents. The addition of Eastern Florida State College will give juniors Amanda Lodge and Jade Rhodes a chance to play against some former teammates and coaches. Our numbers are very good and we have had the opportunity to do a number of different things already this spring."

Admission for each game is free and the matches will be held at the FAU Soccer Stadium, Boca Raton Campus. The full schedule is:
2/8 vs. University of Victoria - 4 p.m.
2/20 vs. Eastern Florida State College - 7:30 p.m.
3/14 at Florida Gulf Coast - 6 p.m.
3/21 vs. University of Miami - 7 p.m.
3/27 at Barry University - 7 p.m.
4/3 vs. Palm Beach Atlantic - 7 p.m.

"January and February will be big months for individual player development and March and April will see a focus on functional and positional play," Baker said. "With 85 percent of the roster coming back, we can almost play with two split squads and look at different player options. If the early weeks are any indication, this will be the most productive spring season in the past three years which is exciting for the players and are future moving forward."
