Owls Host UT-Martin, Begin Conference USA Play at FIU

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will close out 2015 at home against UT-Martin on Tuesday, before ringing in 2016 with its conference opener at rival FIU.
Last week: FAU lost at Hofstra 68-54 on Tuesday, Dec. 22. Jackson Trapp led the Owls with 14 points and Marquan Botley added 10.
History: Tuesday's meeting with UT-Martin (noon) will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. Sunday's 3 p.m. game at FIU will be the 32nd on-court encounter, with the Panthers leading 20-12, but some of those wins were vacated due to NCAA violations.
