Owls Fall to In-State Rival UCF 75-61

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team struggled to find its shooting touch, shooting just 36 percent from the floor in a 75-61 loss to UCF on Saturday night.
The Turning Point
The Owls were up 25-23 with just under three minutes to go in the first half, when UCF went on an 11-0 run and its advantage remained in double digits for the rest of the game.
Notables
-Jesse Hill scored a career high for the second game in a row. He notched 22 against the Knights after tallying 11 against Ave Maria on Thursday night.
-FAU was outrebounded 44-31 on the night, including 15 by A. J. Davis, who added 21 points in the win.
-The Owls cut the lead to 11 midway through the second half, but five straight points by UCF stifled any momentum for FAU.
-Jackson Trapp continued his history of playing well in his hometown, scoring 15 points in 31 minutes of playing time.
-C.J. Turman just missed his third career double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds.
