Maja Ristic Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University volleyball player Maja Ristic has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the conference office announced today.
The announcement was made in advance of the Conference USA Volleyball Tournament, which will take place from Friday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 22 in San Antonio, Texas.
A junior college transfer, Ristic leads the team in kills per set at 3.8 and averages 2.76 digs per set, good for fourth on the team. Earlier this season, she posted a career high 26 kills in a win over Florida Gulf Coast. Ristic was named First Team All-Conference USA earlier this week. The Brcko, Bosnia native has eight double-doubles on the year and maintains a 3.77 GPA while majoring in exercise science.
FAU is the tournament’s fifth seed and will face fourth seeded North Texas in a first round match. The match is scheduled for an 8 p.m. eastern start and live stats will be available at fausports.com.
