FAU Volleyball Faces Pivotal Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team faces arguably its most important week of the season when it hosts Southern Miss and FIU before traveling to WKU on Sunday. FAU hosts Southern Miss at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and FIU at 7 p.m. on Friday. Sunday’s match at WKU starts at 1 p.m.
Last week: FAU swept both UAB and Middle Tennessee last weekend. The Owls won both of their matches over the weekend, extending their win streak to five. Junior Maja Ristic totaled 27 kills in the two matches.
History: The Owls trail the all-time series with Southern Miss 3-2. However, FAU defeated the Golden Eagles in four sets earlier this season. Maja Ristic had 16 kills in the win. FIU has won 28 of the 53 all-time meetings, including a 3-1 win in Miami in the conference opener for both teams. WKU has won all 18 meetings with the Owls.
Promotions: Wednesday night is FAU Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night. The first 50 FAU students in attendance on Friday night will receive free t-shirts.
