Men's Hoops To Make First Conference USA Road Trip

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will make its first Conference USA road trip of the season this week with games UAB and Middle Tennessee.
FAU (7-5, 0-1 C-USA) lost to rival FIU 62-60 on Sunday, despite 22 points from Solomon Poole and a 13 point, seven rebound performance from Kelvin Penn. Jackson Trapp added 11 points in the game.
UAB (5-9, 0-1) enters Thursday's contest off of a 54-49 win over Middle Tennessee. The Blazers had lost three straight games before Sunday's victory. FAU won last year's meeting with UAB, 82-71. Four Owls scored in double-figures in the game, including Marquan Botley narrowly missing a triple-double with 11 points, eight assists and eight rebounds.
On Saturday, FAU will face Middle Tennessee. The Blue Raiders (7-7) enter the week on a two-game losing streak and will host FIU on Thursday night. Botley scored 19 points vs. Middle Tennessee last season, a 67-63 Blue Raider victory in Boca Raton. Both games are slated for an 8 p.m. eastern tip-off.
