A strong second half by Middle Tennessee was the difference in the Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team's 82-58 loss on Saturday.

Solomon Poole scored 17 points, Marquan Botley had 11 and C.J. Turman added 10. The Owls fell behind early, but made four first half three-pointers to keep the game close, while the Blue Raiders utilized their size advantage to maintain their lead. In the second half, MT pulled away and built a 30-point cushion.

"They had 15 offensive rebounds for 21 second chance points, that's the difference in the game," said FAU head coach Michael Curry. "Nothing else matters if they get the rebound every time they miss."

Turman scored in double-figures for the second game in a row. FAU will return to Boca Raton on Thursday, Jan. 15 to host Western Kentucky. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Subscription-based live video of the game will be available through FAUSports.com.
