BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University's Danielle Aromashodu has been honored as a member of the Division I All-Academic Track & Field team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25, and as an outdoor track athlete participated in the NCAA Division I Championships.
Aromashodu, the school record holder in the 400-meter hurdles, won the Sun Belt Conference Championship in the 400-meter hurdles in each of her first three seasons. The Miami native narrowly missed winning the Conference USA title in the event as a senior, finishing in second place in a time of 58.55. Her FAU career concluded at the 2014 NCAA East Preliminary Championships, where she missed qualifying for the quarterfinals of the event by less than a second.
She was named FAU's Outstanding Female Athlete for the 2013-14 season. Aromashodu also earned the Spring Spirit of Service Award from Conference USA for her numerous community service efforts.
