BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic women's tennis traveled to Orlando, FL and defeated Fordham 5-2. The win moves FAU to 2-0 on neutral courts this season and 8-8 overall.
FAU won the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. FAU junior Natalia Tomaszewicz and FAU freshman Kandis Legall defeated the Fordham team in the No. 1 position 8-4. FAU junior Catalina Ene and FAU freshman Lyndsey Boos defeated Anika Novacek and Destiny Grunin 8-2.
FAU's Catalina Ene also won in singles defeating Angelika Dabu 6-4, 6-4. FAU's Natalia Tomaszewicz defeated Julie Leong 6-4, 7-5. FAU freshman Lyndsey Boos defeated Destiny Grunin 6-1, 6-1 and FAU freshman Bianca Biglione defeated Hanna Fritzinger 6-0, 6-3.
FAU returns to action Wednesday March 26, at 1 p.m. at home at Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton.
