Boca Raton, Fla. - Florida Atlantic women's tennis was narrowly defeated on Tuesday, 4-3 by Troy. FAU only needed three wins in singles to pull out the victory after winning the doubles point early in the match. The Owls were up 3-1 with three matches ongoing. The match came down to FAU junior Catalina Ene battling for the last point but she was defeated in the third set by Anja Cosovic 6-1, 1-6, 6-2.

FAU freshman Bianca Biglione played well defeating Brooke Durden 6-2, 6-1. Biglione has won five of her last six matches. FAU junior Natalia Tomaszewicz defeated Monica Gonzalez 6-2, 6-4.

In doubles FAU freshman Bianca Biglione and FAU senior Stephanie Cardullo defeated Monica Gonzalez and Margot De Haan 8-7 (7-4). Catalina Ene and Taylor Briggs defeated Lyubov Dorofeeva and Brooke Durden 8-6.

The Owls are back in action Thursday March 13, at 1 p.m. against Hillsdale at home in Boca Raton, at Patch Reef Park.
