FAU Women's Tennis Falls to FGCU 5-2

Boca Raton, Fla - Florida Atlantic women's tennis lost to FGCU on Saturday at home 5-2. The loss moves the Owls to 1-5 after dropping three consecutive matches over weekend.
FAU freshman Kandis Legall was a bright spot for Owls, winning in the one position defeating Sarah Means 6-2, 6-3. Legall was the only FAU player to win a matchup in each of the Owls' three matches this weekend. On Thursday Legall defeated Youngstown State's Margarita Sadovnikova 6-4, 6-3, and on Friday Legall defeated Stetson's Diana Bukajeva 6-4, 6-4. FAU Freshman Bianca Biglione defeated Bettina Botha 4-6, 7-5, 10-6 to score the second point of the match for FAU. FAU freshman Lyndsey Boos pushed her match to three sets before falling to Elizabeth Means 7-6 (7-3), 5-7, 7-5.
FAU returns to action Wednesday Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. in Boca Raton against Oakland.
