The Owls (1-1) posted 17 assists and made seven 3-pointers in their first win of 2014-15 and saw five players reach double-digit scoring.
Junior Ali Gorrell put up 17 points, giving her 43 points over the first two games of her FAU career. She and sophomore Shaneese Bailey each tallied seven rebounds while Bailey earned 16 points. Freshman Melinda Myers and sophomore Aaliyah Dotson scored 11 and ten points, respectively.
FAU went on a 14-2 run early in the game to get out to a lead that B-C (0-2) could not overcome. The Owls led by as many as 15 before the Wildcats cut the lead to 44-35 at the half.
Robinson found a groove to start the second half, scoring 11 of her 18 points in the closing frame. B-C pulled within seven midway through the second half before Myers made a layup to cap off a run that put the Owls up by 20, the largest lead of the game, with 2:50 to play.
FAU out-scored B-C 42-20 in the paint and did not allow a fast-break opportunity. The Owls shot nearly 80 percent from the free-throw line and were and even 50 percent from the field.
