Stefan Moody Named Sun Belt Player of the Week

BOCA RATON, FL - Freshman Stefan Moody has been named Sun Belt Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. He is the second FAU player to earn the honor this season. Greg Gantt was named Player of the Week on December 11.

Moody scored a career high 28 points in the Owls' 77-60 win over FIU on Saturday. For the season, he's averaging 15.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

The Owls will head to Hot Springs, AR for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament as the no. 7 seed. They will play the 10th seeded Troy Trojans in a first round game at 9:30 p.m. eastern on Friday.
