Boca Raton, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team had its five-match winning streak snapped in a 5-1 loss to St. John's University on Friday, March 1 at Patch Reef Park. The Owls stand 5-4 on the season.
Senior Natasha Phillips earned the team's only point with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Gvantsa Robakidze in the No. 6 singles match. The Boca Raton native has won all four of her singles matches this season.
Senior Natasha Basma dropped a three-set match at No. 2 singles, falling 6-1 in the deciding set.
FAU returns to the court on Monday, March 4 at noon when it battles the University of South Dakota in Palm Bay, FL.
