BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will take part in the 2K Sports Classic/Wounded Warrior Tournament in Detroit after losses to Duke and Boston College over the weekend.
Pablo Bertone scored 17 points versus the Blue Devils and followed that up with a career high 27 in the game against Boston College. The Owls (1-3) will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak. The trip will also serve as a homecoming for freshman guard D'Andre Johnson, who played at Detroit's Cass Techincal High School.
FAU will play tournament host University of Detroit-Mercy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22. The Owls lost their only previous meeting to the Titans, 83-73 on Dec. 20, 1993. Stony Brook will be FAU's opponent on Saturday, Nov. 23 with tip-off scheduled for 3 p.m. The Owls will wrap up tournament action on Sunday, when they play Toledo at 1:30 p.m. It will be the first ever meeting between the Rockets and the Owls.Live audio of the games on Friday and Sunday will be available on both fausports.com and ESPN 106.3 FM, while Saturday's game will be available exclusively on fausports.com.
