Volleyball Headed to Conference USA Tournament

BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team will head to the Conference Tournament this week as the no. 12 seed after clinching a spot last weekend. It is the Owls' first trip to the conference tournament since 2006, their first in the Sun Belt. The Owls will face no. 5 North Texas in the first round of the tournament on Thursday at 3 p.m. eastern.

FAU defeated North Texas in five sets on Friday to help clinch its spot in the bracket.

The winner of the FAU/NT match will face regular season champion UTSA at 1 p.m. eastern on Friday. UTSA picked up the tournament's top seed after sweeping no. 3 Tulsa this past weekend.

The tournament runs Nov. 21-24 and all tournament matches from the first three days will be available for $14.95 (monthly subscription) on the official Conference USA website (conferenceusa.com). Sunday's championship match will be televised live on CBS Sports Network stating at 2 p.m. eastern.
