BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team continues its season with three matches this week with keeping hopes of postseason play alive. The Owls will play FIU, North Texas and Southern Miss. The Owls (11-15, 3-9 C-USA) split their two matches last week with a win at Louisiana Tech and a loss at Middle Tennessee.
The Panthers swept FAU in Miami earlier this season. While Tuesday's match against FIU offers a chance to avenge the loss, it will not count as a Conference USA match. FAU's two matches this weekend will go a long way towards determining whether or not the team will qualify for the C-USA Tournament. The Owls enter the final weekend of the regular season tied with ECU at 3-9 in league play. FAU holds the tiebreaker over the Pirates for the final spot in the conference tournament by virtue of their five set win in Greenville earlier this year.
Sunday's match vs. Southern Miss will also be Senior Day for Darija Sataric, as she will play in her final home match at FAU.
Live stats and live video of all three matches will be available at fausports.com.
