BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic men's basketball team hosts division rival Troy on Thursday night.
FAU (9-9, 4-3 Sun Belt) split its road trip last week, losing to Middle Tennessee 62-52 and then defeating Western Kentucky 65-62. FAU defeated the Trojans (7-10, 2-4) 61-54 on December 27 in Troy. Greg Gantt scored 26 points and became FAU's all-time leading scorer in that contest. He will be honored in a pregame ceremony on Thursday. Pablo Bertone had 21 points in that game as well.
Gantt enters the game 4th in the nation at 22.4 points per game. A win would also tie Gantt, Jordan McCoy and Andre Mattison for the winningest senior class since FAU joined Division I.
Sophomore forward Kelvin Penn's 2.83 blocks per game are 15th in the country. A limited number of "Destroy Troy" t-shirts will be given away to students. FAU will finish the weekend by facing North Texas on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Live stats and live audio of both games can be found here. Single-game and mini-plan tickets for all home games are available by contacting the FAU Ticket Office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
