MORGANTOWN, WV - The Florida Atlantic men's soccer team dropped their conference opener on Sunday to No. 18 West Virginia, 4-0.
The Mountaineers won their first-ever Mid-American conference match as they peppered FAU goalkeeper Jeremy Crumpton with 10 shots on goal among their 18 attempts at the net. Defenseman Nick Raskasky had the first and fourth goals of the contest, the former coming in the 30th minute.
The FAU offense managed two second half shots, by Daniel Mendes and reserve Jefferson Dias.
The Owls drop to 1-5-1 on the season. They next play Stetson University on the road Wednesday, a 7 p.m. start.
