Women's swimming and diving, by virtue of a higher cumulative G.P.A., is the 2012 Spring recipient of the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.
Both women's swimming and women's soccer each had 80 percent of their team earn a 3.0 G.P.A. or above. However, the swim team's cumulative G.P.A. was a 3.38, while soccer had a team G.P.A. of 3.30. FAU's women's cross country was third in the spring, as 78.6 percent of the team earned a 3.0 or higher.
For the men, the highest percentage of its team at 3.0 or higher was soccer, with two-thirds of the squad achieving that mark. Next was men's cross country (61.5), followed by men's golf (53.8).
Overall, during the spring semester, 55.7 percent of all student-athletes posted a 3.0 G.P.A. or higher.
