Orlando, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team lost its regular season finale 7-0 to UCF on Saturday in Orlando. The Owls will head into next week's Sun Belt Conference Championships with a 9-8 record.
Junior Marlene Ryan had her 10-match winning streak snapped at No. 2 singles. Meanwhile, freshman Catalina Ene dropped a hard-fought match at the No. 4 singles position 7-6 (2), 6-4, and junior Natasha Phillips suffered a 6-2, 7-5 loss at No. 6 singles.
The conference tournament begins on Thursday, April 19, in Denton, Texas. Tournament seedings are expected early next week.
