Men's Golf Completes First Round of Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, FL - The Florida Atlantic men's golf team is in 17th place after the opening round of the Seminole Intercollegiate, played at the par-71 Southwood Country Club.
Justin Thompson has the low score on the squad, with a 1-over-par 72. He is currently tied for 30th among individuals. Fellow captain Michael Baskovich is next, at a 3-over 74.
Andrew Mangini (78), Pablo Gerboles-Parrilla (79) and Bradford Kidd (79) round out the FAU scoring.
Florida State, the host school, is tied for the overall team lead with Georgia Tech at 278, 6-under-par. The individual leader after round one is Kennesaw State's Jeff Karlsson, also at 6-under (65).
Round two action continues on Saturday from Tallahassee.
