CRYSTAL RIVER, FL - The Florida Atlantic women's golf team placed two team members in the top 30 out of 104 total golfers competing in the University of Cincinnati Invitational, at the Plantation Golf Resort.
Anna Wiklund shot a 4-over 76, with Brooke McPoyle just a stroke behind her. Wiklund is tied for 23rd after day one, while McPoyle is tied for 27th.
The Owls are 18th in the event (325), just five strokes behind Oakland and seven strokes behind Ohio. FIU leads the team standings with a 2-over-par total of 290 and has the low individual, Shelby Coyle, at a 3-under 69.
Rounding out the scoring for FAU were Kayla DeSuza and Nicole Marino, each with an 86. Madden Leen shot a 90.
The second round on the par-72 course tees off Saturday morning.
