BOCA RATON, FL - The National Association of Basketball Coaches has named Florida Atlantic University guard Greg Gantt to the All District-24 Second Team, the organization announced Wednesday.
Gantt, a junior from Gainesville, was FAU's leading scorer for the third season in a row, averaging 14.0 points per game. In a 62-60 win over Hofstra University, Gantt became the eighth player in school history to score 1,000 career points. Gantt had nine 20-point games during the season, including a season high 28 points against Troy University. He is on pace to become the school's all-time leading scorer during his senior season. Gantt was also named to All-District 24 Second Team as a freshman.
NABC District 24 is composed entirely of universities from the Sun Belt Conference and the teams were voted on by NABC members from around the nation. Gantt is now eligible for the NABC Coaches' Division I All-America Team, to be announced on Tuesday, March 20.
