DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The Florida Atlantic women's golf team finished in third place on Tuesday at the Gary Freeman BCU Spring Invitational, led by Anna Wiklund and her third place performace.
Wiklund moved up two slots with a second day total of 80, giving her a total for the tournament of 157 (13-over-par) and tying for third place overall.
Making a big leap on the leaderboard with a 6-shot improvement from the first round was Nicole Marino. After Monday's 87, she carded an 81 Tuesday to finish tied for 11th. Next for the Owls was Kayla DeSuza, whose two-day total of 169 placed her a stroke behind Marino in a tie for 14th.
Rounding out the scoring for FAU were Brooke McPoyle and Madden Leen with a 177 and 181, respectively.
The women's team will next hit the links beginning March 18 at the 2012 MSU Ocala Invitational, at the Juliette Falls Golf Club.
