BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic men's basketball team returns to Sun Belt Conference action when it travels to Troy for Thursday's game against the Trojans.
The Owls (5-7, 1-1 Sun Belt) split their first two conference games, losing to South Alabama and defeating Arkansas State. FAU will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak, including an 88-52 loss to #6 Indiana.
Troy (5-8, 0-2) defeated Mississippi State in its first game in its new arena, but goes into Thursday's contest having lost six of its last seven games, including both conference games to UALR and Western Kentucky.
The Trojans have typically been one of the highest scoring teams in the conference, but are averaging 62.4 points per game and have just one player (Emil Jones) in double figures so this season. FAU and Troy split last season's two meetings, with each team winning on the other's home floor. Troy spoiled FAU's senior night, coming back from a 19-point second half deficit to win 83-82.
Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. eastern. Live audio of the game will be available at www.fausports.com.
