Men's Swimming falls in two meets over the weekend

The Florida Atlantic men's swimming and diving team was swept by two in-state schools in separate meets over the weekend.
On Friday, the team traveled to Tallahassee to take on Florida State, and fell, 131-96. On Saturday, in Gainesville against Florida, they were topped 162-120.
Mikolaj Czarnecki picked up two wins on the weekend. Against FSU, he won the 200-meter butterfly in a time of 1:50.76. He added a runner-up finish on Friday in the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.10).
Also on Friday, Eric Williams had two third-place finishes, in the 50-yard freestyle (21.19) and in the 100-yard freestyle (48.03).
Czarnecki also had the only win of the day on Saturday, once again topping the 200-yard butterfly, 1:49.70. He also finished with a second-place time in the 100-yard butterfly (50:23), and was part of runner-up finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:36.01), with Csaba Pek, Alan Forbes and Anthony Fermin.
Williams picked up two runner-up finishes against UF, in the same events as Friday. He had a time of 21.16 in the 50-yard free and 46.93 in the 100-yard free. Forbes added two second-place Saturday finishes, in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.54) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:07.74).
Diver Gregory Cox had a second-place finish as well, on the 3-meter boards, with a score of 331.05, just a little less than three points behind the top finisher.
The squad will be off for two weeks, as they head to Fort Pierce on January 28 to take on Indian River Community College.
