BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's golf team sits at No. 19 after day one of the USF Invitational featuring 21 teams.

Middle Tennessee State University leads the teams with a first round team total of 274. The Owls posted a 305 day one total on the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club Course which features a course comprised of hills, something rare to the FAU south Florida team.

Michael Baskovich leads FAU with a 72 and is tied at No. 21. John Justin Thompson shot a 74 as did Clint Wilhelm and the duo are tied for No. 74. FAU's final scorer is Casey Matthews who shot a 79. Matthews is tied at 90. Senior Kelly McHugh rounded out the five-man squad with an 82 and McHugh is T100. The Owls will be back on the course Saturday morning.
