BOCA RATON, FL - Breana Turner had 12 points and seven rebounds on Sunday, but the Florida Atlantic women's basketball team lost its regular season finale 53-40.
The Owls (7-20, 4-12 Sun Belt) fell behind early in the first half and were unable to pull even with the Jaguars (16-12 8-8).
Both teams only had one player in double figures, Turner for FAU and Siedah Banks for South Alabama (13).
FAU will head to the Sun Belt Tournament as the East's 5th seed. They will play Arkansas State at 1:15 p.m. eastern on Saturday. Live audio of the game will be available at www.fausports.com.
