The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team had their first golf meet of the season this past weekend. The Owls traveled to Daytona Beach, FL to compete in the LPGA Xavier Invitational. The invitational was held at the LPGA International Golf Course which is a par 72.

Two of the three rounds were canceled due to weather, making the first round of competition also the final scores and places.

FAU finished the day with a compiled team score of 336. Anna Wiklund led the Owls with a score of 77 for a 16th place finish. Marilyne Cadieux finished with an 85 for 56th place, and Karla DeSuza and Madden Leen both tied for 61st place with a score of 87. Finishing out the scoring for FAU was Brooke McPoyle with a 94.

The Owls will be back out on the golf course Oct. 10-11 at the USF Waterlefe in Bradenton, FL.
