Basketball Celebrates Start of Practice With Pep Rally

BOCA RATON, FL - A pep rally on Thursday night helped the men's and women's basketball teams prepare for the beginning of their practice schedule. The event included introductions of both teams and coaching staffs, a shooting contest, and a slam dunk contest.
The men's team also presented their banners celebrating last season regular season championship and NIT appearance. In the shooting contest Kimberly Smith narrowly edged out Omari Grierto win the event. Clifford Coleman won the slam dunk contest for the second year in a row.
The men's team will open their season on November 8 with an exhibition against Lynn. The women will open the year against Warner Southern on November 11.
