DENTON, TX - Raymond Taylor set the school record for assists in a season, but the Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team had its five-game winning streak snapped in a 86-69 loss to North Texas on Thursday night.
The Owls fell behind by 13 in the first half, the lead eventually swelled to 18 at halftime. A 17-4 FAU run early in the second half cut the lead to seven, but the Mean Green scored the next nine points to put the game away.
Greg Gantt led FAU with 18 points and Taylor's seven assists to set the school record for assists in a season with 147.
FAU will travel to Denver to take on the Pioneers on Saturday, the game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
