Alex Tucker Named Cousy Award Nominee

BOCA RATON, FL - Junior point guard Alex Tucker has been named a nominee for the Bob Cousy Award.

The award is given to the best point guard in the nation at the Division I, II and III levels. The award "recognizes the vital importance of the point guard position to the success of the unit". Tucker is averaging 9.4 points and 3.8 assists per game, including a career high 19 points in win over USF earlier this season. Tucker entered the week 3rd in the conference in assist/turnover ratio at 1.8 to 1.

The list of nominees will be narrowed to 20 players on January 3.
