Cross Country Heads to Conference Championships

BOCA RATON,FL - The Florida Atlantic University cross country teams will head to Bowling Green, KY this weekend to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Championships. The Owls have run well in their last few meets, with both the men's and women's team finishing 7th or better in each of the last two events.

Senior Friederike Feil has been the Owls' best runner over the latter part of the season, winning back-to-back event titles and a Sun Belt Runner of the Week award.

The women's team finished 4th at last season's meet, when Feil was the high finisher. The men's team notched a 7th place finish, which tied their best finish since joining the league. Sophomore Josh Wolfe has been the best runner for the men. Wolfe has been the Owls' high male finisher in all but one meet in which he has competed this season.

The 2010 Sun Belt Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 on the campus of Western Kentucky University.
