Feil Named Runner of the Week

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic cross country runner Friederike Feil was named Sun Belt Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The award is the third of Feil's career. She won her first cross country race in of the season, helping the women's cross country team to a fourth place finish at the Disney Wide World of Sports Classic over the weekend. The title was the fourth of Feil's career and catapulted the Owls to the highest finish of any Florida school in the 25-team field. The Tuebingen, Germany, native's time of 17:42.20 in the 5K was almost 11 seconds better than that of the runner-up.
The cross country team returns to action on Friday when they participate in the Stetson Hatter Invitational.
