BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team was defeated by the University of Georgia 3-0 on Friday night.
The Owls were held shotless by the Bulldog defense. Georgia struck in the 14th minute when Jamie Pollock struck off of a corner kick to give UGA a 1-0 lead. Alex Hooker added to the lead in the 19th minute when she scored off of a Carrie Peterson cross. Pollock added to another goal shortly after halftime to chase Ashley Lantes from the Owl goal.
Ashley Parrinello relieved Lantes and shut Georgia out for the final 37:08 of the match.
The Owls continue action at the Georgia Nike Invitational on Sunday when they face Clemson. Kick-off is scheduled for 11 a.m.
