Volleyball Opens Home Schedule With MTSU, WKU

BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team opens its home schedule with matches against Sun Belt rivals Middle Tennessee State and Western Kentucky this weekend.
The Owls (3-8, 2-1 Sun Belt) split last weekend's trip to Alabama, sweeping South Alabama but losing to Troy in five sets. FAU hosts Middle Tennessee State in its home opener on Friday. The Blue Raiders (8-6, 1-0 SBC) took both of last season's meetings. FAU did take a set in the match in Boca Raton, before losing in four sets.
Western Kentucky comes to town on Saturday. The Hilltoppers (8-5, 0-1 SBC) also beat the Owls twice last season, but have to replace a lot of the offense from last year's senior heavy squad.
Friday's match against Middle Tennessee State starts at 7 p.m.
