Mobile, AL - Seniors Kristyna Dzmuranova and Krystena Castro had 15 and 12 kills respectively in the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team's three-set sweep of South Alabama on Friday night.
The Owls (3-7, 2-0 Sun Belt) outhit USA (9-5, 1-0 SBC) in all three sets, including a .447 to .288 in the final set. FAU also 57 digs to just 36 for the Jaguars. It is the second season in a row that the Owls have begun Sun Belt play 2-0. Joanne Marras Tate (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Osvaldo Cruz) had 36 assists and 13 digs in the match.
FAU wraps up its road trip on Saturday when they travel to Troy to take on the Trojans. The match starts at 2 p.m. eastern and live stats will be available at troytrojans.com
