McHugh Finishes 23rd at Florida State Amateurs

Florida Atlantic University men's golfer Kelly McHugh recently finished 23rd at the 92nd annual Florida State Amateur Championship, held in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

McHugh was tied for third place halfway through the four-round event, carding a second round 68, which was the best score of the day. He shot rounds of 78 on both of the final days of the tournament, finishing with a score of 297.

It was the end of an eventful sophomore season for McHugh, who received the first invitation to NCAA Regionals for an FAU men's golfer since the Owls moved to Division I in 1993. McHugh hit a hole-in-one on the first day of that tournament.
