BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team finished the 2008-09 season at the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) Tournament with a 12th place finish. The tournament was held on the Tradition Course of the Cypresswood Golf Course (PAR 72/ 7,220 Yards) in Houston, Texas.

Kelly McHugh (73, 76, 74-223) scored two birdies during his last round and finished tied for 25th. Freshman Justin Thompson (79, 81, 75-235) recorded his best round of golf in the tournament aided by an impressive eagle, or two under par, on hole 12.

Beginning the final day in a tie for first was Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Denver (291, 291-290-872), but it was MTSU (295, 287, 284- 866) pulling away to a seven stroke victory.
