Track Has Good Showing at Hurricane Invitational

BOCA RATON, FL - Barbara Fronrath won the 5,000 meters for the second consecutive meet at the Hurricane Invitational over the weekend.
Fronrath's time of 18:20.77 in the event was more than eight seconds better than the second place finisher. She also won the event at the FAU Twilight Invitational the previous week.
In the 200 meters, freshmen Jessica Smith (24.59) and Susan Chisholm (24.92) set personal records, narrowly missing the automatic qualifying time for this year's Junior Olympics of 24.44.
Taylor Reeves set the school record in the 3,000 steeplechase, finishing the race in 9:33.90 to win that event.
The Owls will head to Orlando to take part in the UCF Invitational on March 27 and 28.
