BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University women's tennis played its sixth match in 10 days and saw James Madison University defeat the Owls 5-2, Wednesday.
The two teams closely battled through the doubles with JMU taking each match to pick up the first point. They held the momentum increasing the lead to two after FAU was forced to retire on court five.
The Owls continued to battle with Natalia Totevska defeating Rebecca Erickson on court 2 6-1, 6-1. Virginia Augustin also won on court four but it would prove to be the final FAU point.
FAU (5-11) will next play host to Boston University, 1 p.m. Friday at Patch Reef Park Tennis Center.
