BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP)-- Kevin Kanaskie scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help Middle Tennessee beat Florida Atlantic 74-68 on Saturday night.
Eric Allen added 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Blue Raiders (16-12, 9-7 Sun Belt Conference), who snapped a three-game losing streak.
With 3:22 remaining in the game, Florida Atlantic's Alex Tucker tied the score at 57-57 with two free throws. Middle Tennessee then scored six unanswered points over the next three minutes, claiming a 63-57 lead after a Desmond Yates jumper with 41 seconds remaining.
Paul Graham III led Florida Atlantic (6-23, 2-14) with 18 points on 7-of-20 shooting. Shavar Richardson added 16 points for the Owls.
Graham, Carlos Monroe, Carderro Nwoji, Sammy Hernandez, Chris Coleman and Brian Berlingo were all honored as final-year Owls before their last home game.
Middle Tennessee shot 38.2 percent from the field (21-for-55), but outrebounded Florida Atlantic 37-32.
