NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team (7-16, 4-10 Sun Belt) lost to New Orleans in five sets on Saturday.
After dropping the first set to the Privateers, the Owls tied the match at one set each on a block by Sarah Stoll and Joanne Marras Tate on set point.
The Owls had a three point lead, 19-16 late in the third set when UNO rallied to tie the match at 23 before a Christina Wallinger kill and a Cintia Nightingale service ace gave FAU the set and the lead.
UNO took the fourth and fifth sets to win the match. Wallinger lead the Owls with 14 kills.
FAU continues its road trip next weekend when it travels to Middle Tennesee and Western Kentucky.
