BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team lost to Arkansas-Little Rock in straight sets (19-25, 19-25, 15-25) on Sunday.
The Owls (5-16, 3-9 Sun Belt) fell behind early on in the first set, and were unable to catch up, losing 25-19. The second set was tied at eight, but UALR went on an 11-3 run, taking a 19-11 lead eventually winning the set 25-19. FAU trailed by just a point in the third set at 9-8, but could not keep up with the Trojans and lost by the score of 25-15.
Christina Wallinger led the Owls with 11 kills.
FAU hits the road next weekend, traveling to Lafayette, LA to take on the Ragin' Cajuns on Friday, October 30. The match is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. eastern.
