BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team lost to Middle Tennessee State in three sets on Friday night. Kristyna Dzmuranova led the team with eight kills in the loss.
The Owls (3-9, 2-2 Sun Belt) fell behind by six points midway through the first set but had rallied to within two at 23-21, but MTSU scored the next two points to take the set. The Blue Raiders (9-6, 2-0) got out to an early lead in the second set and pulled away late, winning 25-12. MTSU also took the third set by a score of 25-12.
FAU resumes Sun Belt play on Saturday when they host Western Kentucky. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
