FAU Football 101 Successful

Florida Atlantic University hosted the 2008 FAU Football 101 clinic in conjunction with Fanfest on Saturday, August 16. It was the second time that FAU has hosted such an event, the first in 2001.

A total of 35 participants learned the X's and O's of offense, defense and play calling. Sport medicine and football equipment were also covered during the clinic. Head coach Howard Schnellenberger, offensive coordinator Gary Nord, defensive coordinator Kirk Hoza, equipment manager Mike Short, head athletic trainer John Burnside and several players were among the speakers. Participants also enjoyed bagels, lunch, personalized jersey's and sideline end zone seating for the season's first football scrimmage.
