Women's Tennis Honors Three Seniors

The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team honored three seniors on Saturday afternoon in the final match of the regular season. Claudia Kecht, Pia Terol and Elodie Wendling all played their final match in Boca Raton, but fell to no. 49 University of South Alabama 6-1.
All three seniors played well but were unable to pull out a victory. Kecht suffered a 6-4, 6-4 loss to Michaela Babicova at no. 2. Wendling push Erica Krisan to three sets at the no. 3 spot, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and Terol nearly took the first set from Jelena Krivacevic at no. 6 before falling 7-5, 6-3.
Virginia Augustin picked up FAU's lone point with a 6-4, 2-1 win after Katie Welch retired at no. 4.
The Owls will travel to Monroe, LA for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament April 18-20.
