Track Competes at Hurricane Invitational

CORAL GABLES, FL - The Florida Atlantic track team had several members set personal records at the Hurricane Inviational over the weekend.
The Owls got started on Friday night when both Taylor Reeves (15:43.90) and Stephen Dassin (16:24.29) set personal records in the 5,000 meters. Reeves also set a new personal record in the 1,500 meters (4:10.73) on Saturday. Kyle Butler set a school record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:08.08.
For the women, Lindsay Glover and Toyria Mattear both ran season best times in the 400 meter hurdles. In the 200-meter dash, Angela Kerr-Smith set a personal record of 25.14. Katie Quick ran a new collegiate best in the 5,000 meters. In the field events, Caitlin Bowne and Amber McGillicuddy both set new personal records in the high jump. McGillicuddy also posted a new career best in the long jump.
The Owls will take some time off before traveling to Gainesville to take part in the prestigious Florida Relays on April 4-5.
